Every day, on each AIDA cruise ship, a team of professional photographers captures thousands of memorable moments so that guests can focus on enjoying their vacation.

But with thousands of photos per day — many of them looking very similar — making these memories available for purchase was a real challenge.

The solution needed to be eco-friendly, cost-efficient, and make it simple for guests to find and order their photos without long queues or frustration.

  • What started with dedicated kiosks has transformed into tablet-based points of sale — a scalable, cost-effective solution that can be deployed in large numbers, eliminating queues and improving the guest experience.

    And to make photo sales even faster, we developed our own lightweight mobile face recognition engine — cFace — purpose-built to bring real-time recognition to tablet devices.
